A full day racing for UCCRC today at Cork regatta and a long day for some with more to go tomorrow- excellent!
Men's novices probably learned the most today and managed a good response in the 8 to win by 1.2 seconds over Trinity. The women raced in the Intermediate 2x but sadly there was no competition so they raced J18s in their heat and Seniors in their Final. None the less the numbers show they are moving on.
Also racing today were UCC's two intrepid novice women, both got stuck into the 2x and 1x with an excellent attitude with Nichola coming first to Deirdre's second place in their final.
In the afternoon UCC raced the senior 4x for the first time. Great to see members of the squad taking on this boat class. It's a fast and technical beast that I hope will continue to challenge..
