Final month of the season.

We are now in the final month of the season. To mark the beginning of Summer the Wind Gods have provided us with a 48 hour period of 'gusting' making the course occasionally very rowable but also occasionally very sinkable so we got on with some lactate training pieces below the bridge. Good work was done by all crews, perhaps the awareness of it being one week until the next regatta has helped with focus? Cork Regatta, and Skibberreen Regatta the next day will be held at the National Rowing Centre- so we will not have far to travel...
The format of the pieces was the usual, the ladies small boats are sent off as the 'hare' and then chased down by the rest. These gaps are based on percentages and therefore the first to the finish line, regardless of boat class is the winner.
