It's the time of year that US College crews meet on the east and west coast before coming together for 'national championships' later in the Summer. College rowing in the US is in a league above anything in European universities, there is a structure and funding behind it that gives it support for coaching, equipment and athlete recruitment. This is an advantage that makes it very easy for us to dismiss these outfits with an endless list of excuses.
However, does either of the following cost anything?
1. Training hard.
2. Professional attitude to the management and execution of training and studying.
