This group has been selected based on an ability to make effective use of the programme. The focus of the programme is on quality mileage and drills (water), quality hard miles (ergo) and appropriate strength and conditioning (squad gym).

Tuesday 6:30am Cork BC
Tuesday 5pm Squad gym
Wednesday 6pm Mardyke Arena
Thursday 6pm: Squad gym
Saturday and Sunday 1pm-3pm Shandon BC
Athletes in this group will have a greater focus on establishing the basics of the rowing stroke and training. Water work will see mileage increase as appropriate, ergos will have a higher technical focus and strength and conditioning will also be at the appropriate level. This group will be mixed in with the new intake as suitable for the acceleration of the new intake's development with the objective of creating the strongest possible novice squad in the Summer.

The overall objective is that best use of time is made for both athletes and coaches.
